SOE jacking systems utilize rack and pinion transmission principle to elevate or lower down the platform/leg. They are mounted in the jacking frames which are typically welded to the hull structure. They can be driven by electric motor or hydraulic motor depending on the application requirements.
They are of modular design feature which allows the ease of installation and maintenance. They can be installed and operated in all types of leg structures such as truss type, tubular type and square type typically used in the design of jack-up rigs.
Each elevating unit comprises of a climb pinion, a speed reducer and an electric motor or hydraulic motor built with a fail-safe electromagnetic brake. The motor control centers, jacking center control and local control consollette are included.
The various jacking systems with different load capacity and configuration are available according to the customer's specifications.
